Nintendo recently announced their new lineup of gaming toys and collectibles. Due to the popularity of the ink-filled shooter, Splatoon, they’ve decided to create amiibos of two well known characters in-game. The new Splatoon amiibos include the broadcasters known as Callie and Marie along with different versions of the older Splatoon amiibos. Now like every amiibo, these two new ones have a special effect in the actual game. The Squid Sisters will be able to play music and then dance to that music in various cutscenes. It’s a bit underwhelming for the price they’re sold at, but collectors and fans of the game will not be disappointed.
These new amiibos will be sold on July 8th with various bundles. You can buy one a piece of $12.99, the Squid Sister bundle for $25, and the three redesigned Inklings bundle for $34.99.
Now with rumors of Splatoon being ported over to the NX coming out next year, there’s a chance even more Splatoon amiibos will be made.
