This looks to be a interesting week for Microsoft and the XBOX team. They’ve engaged the public with ideas of allowing for cross-play with the PlayStation Network, but have made a number of controversial decisions as of late. The widely anticipated game, Quantum Break, was promised to run at 1080p and 30FPS on Xbox One, a must have for console games now. It seems though that the developers, Remedy Entertainment, were unable to fulfill this promise with the game reportedly running at 720p and 30FPS on Xbox One. This did not sit well with gamers. This kind of quality was average for games on the previous generation with the Xbox 360, but this is for the Xbox One and 720p is unacceptable to the player base at large.
Although the Xbox One version of Quantum Break may only be running at 720p and 30FPS, it is reported that the PC version of the game will be able to run at 4k and 60FPS with the proper hardware. We can only hope that they’ll be able to deliver that type of quality for the PC game.
Quantum Break will be available for the Xbox One and PC on April 5, 2016.
